Job summary

The American Indian Education Aid Specialist at Minnesota Department of Education will manage applications and review processes for programs that support American Indian students in K-12 and postsecondary settings, with emphasis on outreach to school districts and ensuring regulatory compliance.

You will coordinate Title VI, Impact Aid, and the Ethel Curry Scholarship, analyze data, and work with the Program and Compliance Monitor to identify additional needs and opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications

  • One year of experience coordinating American Indian Education grant processes or American Indian Education programming/instruction.
  • OR
  • Three years of experience providing support duties for American Indian Education grant processes or American Indian Education programming/instruction.
  • Experience with data analysis preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Managing and reviewing American Indian Education Program Plans;
  • Managing applications for the Title VI programming;
  • Managing applications for the Impact Aid program;
  • Managing the Ethel Curry Scholarship application and awards;
  • This position focuses on outreach to school districts and verifying programming compliance with regulations;
  • Provide support to the Program and Compliance Monitor in analyzing data and recommending additional programming needs.
