Job summary

Speechify is hiring a Software Engineer - AI Data to join our remote AI team. You will build data pipelines powering model training and scale data processing across petabyte-scale datasets.

You’ll discover new data sources, optimize quality and cost, and work closely with AI scientists to improve training datasets and next-generation models. You’ll own projects end-to-end in a fully distributed setting.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash in Linux environments.
• Experience building and operating production systems and data pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving and independent work skills.

Responsibilities

• Discover new audio data sources and build pipelines for training datasets.
• Build and improve large-scale data-processing systems for quality, throughput and cost.
• Collaborate with AI Scientists to improve training datasets and models.
• Own projects from problem discovery through implementation and continuous improvement.
