Job summary

IBM Consulting seeks a Consultant, AI and Data Engineer to build Snowflake Data Cloud foundations and AI solutions for clients. You will design data pipelines, model governance, and deployment workflows across Snowflake Cortex, Snowpark, and external providers.

You will collaborate with architects, data scientists, and analysts to deliver production-grade, secure AI-enabled data platforms in a fast-paced consulting environment.

Qualifications

• Experience spanning data engineering and applied AI in a consulting context.
• Strong SQL and Python skills; experience with dbt, Spark, or Snowpark.
• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and data warehouses on cloud platforms.
• Hands-on experience with LLM-based apps, vector stores, and retrieval-augmented generation.
• Familiarity with cloud data services (AWS/Azure/GCP) and CI/CD practices.
• Good communication and ability to work in cross-functional Agile teams.

Responsibilities

• Data Pipeline Development: design, build, and operate ETL/ELT pipelines.
• AI Solution Development: deploy LLM-based apps and ML models for clients.
• AI-Ready Data Engineering: prepare and govern data for AI consumption.
• Snowflake AI Platform: implement solutions using Snowflake Cortex and related services.
• Evaluation and Reliability: define datasets, metrics, and observability.
• Deployment: release solutions to cloud environments with IaC practices.
