Makai Labs seeks an ambitious Forward Deployed AI Analyst to train with engineering, product, and client teams, then embed in client engagements to automate workflows. You will serve as a subject-matter expert as you prototype, iterate, and measure ROI with real business impact.

The role is designed for early-career candidates who will experience training, shadowing, and a structured path toward leadership in AI engineering, product, or implementation.

Qualifications

• We are looking for seniors, recent graduates, and early-career candidates who want a path toward company leadership.
• An ideal candidate has shown ownership both inside and outside the classroom.
• That could mean you built a product, tool, model, startup, research system, or internal process.
• Led a club, team, lab effort, athletic group, event, or high-pressure project.
• Took a messy internship project and turned it into something people used.

Responsibilities

• Spend first month in training and shadowing, then take one workflow end to end with a Makai lead.
• Learn how the work is done today through discovery, interview SMEs, read docs, and map systems.
• Propose what to automate, work with the client to write the spec, and build a prototype on Makai's platform.
• Run rollout and measure productivity and ROI when the prototype proves successful.
• Figure out what won’t work to focus effort effectively.
• Over time, move toward AI engineering, product/implementation, or engagement leadership tracks.
