Job summary

The Travel Corporation (TTC) is seeking a Product Manager based in Glendale, CA to design, develop, and optimize Africa-focused travel products including luxury safaris and custom itineraries. You will collaborate with suppliers, marketing, and operations to create memorable journeys that drive growth, profitability, and brand integrity.

You will source and negotiate with African partners, manage pricing strategies, and monitor performance to refine offerings for the North American market.

Qualifications

• 3–6+ years in African travel product development, contracting, or tour operations.
• Experience working with African DMCs and safari suppliers.
• Deep knowledge of African destinations and safarilogistics.
• Strong negotiation and contracting skills.
• Commercial and analytical mindset (pricing, margins, forecasting).
• Ability to manage complex, multi-country itineraries.
• Communication & Influence - clear communication and stakeholder management.
• Customer Focus - delivering a high-quality, consistent experience.

Responsibilities

• Product Design and Innovation: Develop and maintain a portfolio of African itineraries (luxury, premium, experiential).
• Supplier and Partnership Management: Contract and negotiate with lodges, camps, airlines, and local DMCs; maintain relationships with partners and boards; conduct FAM trips; ensure brand-aligned quality.
• Pricing and Commercial Strategy: Build pricing structures; account for seasonality, park fees, currency fluctuations; maintain profitability while staying competitive in North America.
• Product Performance and Optimization: Monitor bookings, analyze performance, identify gaps, and optimize offerings for margins and customer satisfaction.
• Sales and Marketing Collaboration: Partner with marketing to create brochures and campaigns; support sales teams with knowledge on destinations and itineraries; ensure compelling content.
• Operational Coordination: Work with operations to ensure seamless delivery of trips; manage updates, cancellations, and supplier changes; ensure regulatory compliance.
