Job summary

The Sanborn Map Company (Sanborn) is seeking a Geospatial Sensor Operator to manage flight navigation systems, GPS bases, and sensors for data collection across North America. This remote, part-time role involves travel and data processing to meet client specifications.

You will prepare field equipment, collect data, perform QA, and assist pilots. Requirements include proficiency in Excel/Word and GIS tools (ESRI, QGIS); a high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is required.
• GIS software knowledge such as ESRI or QGIS is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare field equipment, maps, logistics, and electronic information.
• Collect survey and remote sensing data using various types of equipment.
• Maintain and troubleshoot survey and remote sensing equipment.
• Download and ship data gathered after mission completion.
• Generate and/or review flight plans for data acquisition missions.
• Prepare post mission flight logs and reports.
