Job summary

The Trevor Project is seeking an Advocacy Associate to support the Advocacy team and help position Trevor as a key player in state advocacy. You will develop efficient procedures, draft policy materials, expand partnerships, and manage data, scheduling, and logistics for a fast-paced remote team.

You will coordinate the Advocacy Intern program, track legislation, and ensure regulatory compliance while collaborating with Research, Communications, Development, and Marketing teams.

Qualifications

  • Experience in public policy, community organizing, or nonprofit administration.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational support by developing efficient team procedures.
  • Draft policy memos, talking points, and educational resources.
  • Track legislation and assist with grassroots mobilization efforts.
  • Coordinate the Advocacy Intern program and department logistics.
  • Maintain databases, dashboards, and CRM systems for campaigns.
