Job summary

Good Business Colorado is seeking a Communications Manager to lead storytelling, brand voice, and public-facing communications to advance small business advocacy and equity-focused policy change.

You'll translate policy work, member stories, and events into clear content, manage email, social media, press, and website updates, and collaborate across programs to grow engagement and impact.

Qualifications

• 2–4+ years of experience in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field.
• Strong writing, video and content skills with the ability to adapt tone across formats and audiences.
• Demonstrated experience growing social media engagement with measurable results.
• Comfort with analytics tools to track performance and adjust strategy.
• Experience managing email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp, ActionNetwork, or similar).
• Basic design skills (Canva, Adobe, or similar).
• Experience with CRM or membership databases.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute GBCA and GBC's overall communications strategy across email, social media, website, and press
• Write and edit content including videos, podcasts, newsletters, blog posts, social media, press releases, and event materials
• Maintain and evolve GBCA and GBC's brand voice across all platforms
• Own and grow GBCA and GBC's social media presence across platforms, with a focus on increasing engagement, followers, and reach
• Develop and execute a social media content strategy, including content calendars and campaigns
• Collaborate with program staff to translate complex advocacy work into clear public messaging
• Track communications performance and adjust strategy based on what’s working
• Manage relationships with media contacts and support press outreach
• Manage/Support GBCA's website content and member platform updates
