Job summary

Dover Corporation in Downers Grove, IL, is seeking an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer – Welding/Fabrication to design and optimize manufacturing processes, ensure proper equipment usage, and guide new capex through to mass production.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Advanced Manufacturing, you will drive productivity by improving OEE, applying lean methods, developing in-house Welding/Fabrication capabilities, and collaborating with OpsCo teams; travel up to 60% will be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience with Welding/Fabrication processes.
• Experience setting up and operating Welding/Fabrication equipment (TIG, MIG, Laser, etc.).
• Strong CAD experience with SolidWorks or equivalent.
• Experience with precision metrology systems (CMMs, 3D imaging).
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing concepts and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and design welding/fabrication processes using product design knowledge.
• Improve OEE through TPM/SMED initiatives for new and existing equipment.
• Drive capex justification and asset utilization improvements.
• Develop and deploy Welding/Fabrication capabilities in-house.
