Job summary

Varsity Tutors is seeking ACT Math tutors for its Live Learning Platform. As an independent contractor, you set your own schedule, tutor students remotely from home, and earn up to $40/hour.

You can get paid up to twice per week for invoiced sessions, with no commuting required. Applicants should demonstrate deep ACT Math knowledge, from pre-algebra through trigonometry, and be capable of teaching strategies that improve speed and accuracy under time constraints.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of pre-algebra, elementary algebra, intermediate algebra, coordinate geometry, plane geometry, and trigonometry.
• Ability to explain ~60 questions across topics within 60 minutes, calculator strategies, and recalling formulas.

Responsibilities

• 1-on-1 online tutoring sessions with individual students.
• On-demand tutoring requests as availability allows.
• Instruct and motivate students to improve ACT Math scores and readiness.
