Job summary

Central Garden & Pet is recruiting an Accounts Receivable Specialist- Deductions to join the ITC team in a Home Office capacity serving the Boise, ID area. You will resolve deductions, process credit memos, and support billing and payment issues in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes deduction resolution, collaboration across departments, and adherence to SLA and audit readiness within a shared services setting.

Qualifications

• Analytical, detail oriented, and strong communicator with sense of urgency.
• Experience with high-volume AR and deduction resolution.
• Proficient with Excel and Outlook; basic accounting concepts.
• ERP experience and consumer products familiarity are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Verify invoicing discrepancies by researching customer claims across departments.
• Dispute invalid deductions and follow up with customers for documentation or repayment.
• Provide updates on account portfolios and aging meetings.
• Maintain documentation and ensure 24-hour SLA responses.
