Job summary

Remote Jobs in the United States is seeking accounting professionals for an independent contractor role with 8 hours per week and 3 openings to support a Caribbean conglomerate. You will perform reconciliations and general ledger work, with training provided and a focus on accuracy and deadlines.

Responsibilities include month-end close, intercompany accounting, fixed assets, and financial reporting support while collaborating with regional teams. This is a remote position with flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years in general accounting, reconciliations, GL maintenance, or financial reporting support.
• Experience preparing bank, balance sheet, and intercompany reconciliations.
• Experience with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Experience maintaining fixed asset records and supporting audits.
• Experience working in a multi-company or group accounting environment.

Responsibilities

• Bank and cash reconciliations: daily, weekly, monthly reconciliations and item investigation.
• General ledger management: journal entries, chart of accounts integrity.
• Balance sheet reconciliations: monthly reconciliations and explanations.
• Intercompany accounting: reconcile and resolve discrepancies between group entities.
• Accounts receivable: reconcile customer/supplier statements and resolve issues.
• Month-end and year-end activities: accruals, prepayments, depreciation, close support.
• Fixed assets: maintain register, depreciation, asset verifications.
• Internal controls and compliance: ensure policy ad adherence and assist audits.
