Job summary

Oregon State University is seeking a part-time Teaching Assistant to support ACTG 317 and BA 211 at the OSU-Cascades Bend campus. The TA will grade homework and exams, enter grades in Canvas, and hold weekly help hours for students.

Proctor exams, prepare solution keys, and maintain course pages as directed by the instructor. Enrollment as a student is required, with confidentiality under FERPA.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of ACTG317 (External Reporting I) with a grade of B- or better.
• Enrolled at OSU during fall term 2026 and meeting enrollment/academic standing requirements.
• Ability to explain financial accounting concepts clearly in writing and in person.
• Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail, including consistent application of a grading rubric.

Responsibilities

• Grade homework, quizzes, cases, and exams for ACTG317 and BA211 using instructor rubrics.
• Enter and verify grades in Canvas; flag discrepancies.
• Hold weekly help hours and proctor exams; assist with in-class logistics.
