Premier Plumbing & Mechanical is seeking an experienced Remodel Plumber to perform plumbing installations for commercial build-outs and residential remodeling projects throughout the Jacksonville area.

This is not an entry-level position. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 5 years hands-on experience working within existing structures, understands the challenges of remodel plumbing, and can complete installations accurately with minimal supervision. Candidates must have experience in both commercial tenant build-outs and residential renovations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform plumbing work for commercial tenant improvements, renovations, and build-outs.
• Complete residential remodel plumbing for kitchens, bathrooms, additions, and whole-home renovations.
• Install, relocate, modify, and replace water, waste, vent, and gas piping systems.
• Install plumbing fixtures, including toilets, sinks, faucets, showers, tubs, disposals, water heaters, and related equipment.
• Perform rough-in, top-out, trim, and final fixture installation.
• Tie new plumbing systems into existing piping while protecting occupied spaces and existing finishes.
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, plumbing diagrams, and scope-of-work documents.
• Identify field conflicts and communicate changes or additional work before proceeding.
• Coordinate plumbing activities with project managers, superintendents, inspectors, customers, and other trades.
• Ensure work complies with applicable plumbing codes, permit requirements, and company quality standards.
• Test completed installations, identify leaks or deficiencies, and make necessary corrections.
• Maintain accurate material lists and communicate material needs in advance.
• Keep jobsites, tools, vehicles, and work areas clean, safe, and organized.
• Document work completed and provide project updates as required.
• Follow all company policies, OSHA requirements, and jobsite safety procedures.
• Represent Premier Plumbing & Mechanical professionally when working in occupied homes and commercial spaces.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of professional plumbing experience.
• Documented experience performing commercial plumbing build-outs or tenant improvements.
• Documented experience performing residential plumbing remodels.
• Ability to independently complete plumbing rough-in, top-out, trim, and fixture installation.
• Working knowledge of plumbing codes and accepted installation practices.
• Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and project plans.
• Experience working with common piping materials, including PVC, CPVC, PEX, copper, cast iron, and other systems used in remodeling work.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively around existing utilities, structural conditions, and finished surfaces.
• Ability to communicate professionally with customers, contractors, inspectors, and coworkers.
• Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.
• Ability to pass applicable pre-employment screening requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Journeyman-level plumbing experience or applicable trade credentials.
• Experience leading a helper.
• Experience developing material takeoffs from plans and field conditions.
• Experience with occupied commercial renovations and high-end residential remodeling.

Physical Requirements

• Regularly lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Work from ladders and in confined spaces, crawlspaces, attics, and mechanical areas.
• Frequently stand, walk, climb, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and use hand and power tools.
• Work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and jobsite conditions.
• Wear all required personal protective equipment.
