Job summary

Ventura Foods is hiring at our Albert Lea, MN facility for an hourly, onsite position on the 2nd shift. You will sort and process product, melt raw product for rework, and maintain accurate paperwork while ensuring equipment operates safely.

The role requires adherence to FSMA, SQF, and GMPs, plus the ability to perform physically demanding tasks. We offer competitive pay and growth opportunities, with benefits and shift differentials for 2nd/3rd shifts.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of food safety policies and procedures.

• Maintain proper operation of equipment.
• Follow all Food Safety policies, procedures and regulatory criteria including SQF, GMPs and FSMA.
• Assist in safe and compliant production operations.

Position Summary:

Collect product not meeting quality standards from various lines and melting product to be reworked.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Sort and process product as directed.

Melt raw product and cycle back to proper run tank.

Maintain accurate and legible paperwork for all products being handled.

Maintain proper operation of equipment.

Responsible for following all Food Safety policies, procedures and regulatory criterion including the current SQF code, Good Manufacturing Practices, and the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) and associated Preventive Controls and safety programs.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

Individual must be able to physically perform tasks required of position.

• Hourly starting rate of $$23.68 with opportunities for hourly rate increases and career progression. Positions on 2nd and 3rd shifts are eligible for a $0.25/hr shift differential.

Typical shifts are 8-12 hours per day. Additional unscheduled time after hours and on weekends may also be required. Employees must be willing and able to wear personal protective equipment as required by Company policy and/or legal requirements. In addition, certain jobs may require employees to:

• Work outside and/or in adverse temperatures which could include extreme heat, cold, and humidity;
• Be exposed to vibrations, chemicals used inoperations, fumes and food allergens (may include soy, dairy and other allergens); and
• Be required to work in confined and dark spaces, and at heights in excess of 18 feet.
