Job summary
Northrop Grumman Defense Systems seeks a Linux Systems Administrator to join the FAAD portfolio in Redondo Beach, CA. You will administer Linux systems in lab and development environments, patch and harden workstations, troubleshoot hardware issues, and work with engineers on build environments.
The role requires a Bachelor's degree with at least 2 years of Linux experience or a Master's degree with minimal experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of Linux administration experience.
- Strong understanding of Linux system administration in lab, development, or production environments.
- Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Linux OS and servers.
Responsibilities
- Administer, monitor, and maintain Linux-based systems in lab and development environments.
- Load, customize, and harden Linux development workstations and servers.
- Troubleshoot and repair hardware problems and coordinate repairs.
- Respond rapidly to high-priority incidents and restore service for critical labs.
- Collaborate with software developers and engineering teams to support build environments.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and changes; maintain lab inventories.
