BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring experienced Relief Veterinary Technicians to work in our busy Emergency and Critical Care department.

At BluePearl Pet Hospital, the Veterinary Technician role offers an exciting opportunity to utilize and expand your skills alongside talented veterinary professionals.

As an Emergency Veterinary Technician, you will:

1. Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia using proper equipment.
2. Triages emergency cases, obtaining vital signs such as temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate, and blood pressure.
3. Perform digital radiography with correct patient positioning.
4. Understand normal ranges of vital signs and interpret blood pressure and other vital data, alerting veterinarians to changes.
5. Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR.
6. Calculate medical dosages accurately and administer medications via appropriate routes.
7. Perform phlebotomy and place intravenous catheters.
8. Place and maintain feeding tubes and central line catheters.
9. Mentor and train colleagues with patience and empathy.
