Job summary

VetCheck for Pets in Indianapolis, IN is seeking an Urgent Care Veterinarian to provide prompt, high-quality medical care for emergency cases. You will stabilize critical patients, perform procedures, and work in a fast-paced setting with a supportive team of nurses and staff.

Shifts are Friday through Monday, 10:00am to 8:00pm, with no overnight shifts. Candidates must hold a DVM and have experience in emergency medicine or critical care, strong surgical and anesthesia skills, and a commitment

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from an accredited institution.
• Experience in emergency/critical care settings.
• Strong knowledge of internal medicine, surgery, anesthesiology, and animal physiology.
• Excellent client communication and compassionate pet owner care.
• Experience with laboratory diagnostics and familiarity with emergency protocols.
• Commitment to professional ethics and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Conduct veterinary surgeries and procedures such as wound management, fracture repairs, and soft tissue surgeries

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent from an accredited institution

• Proven veterinary experience with a focus on emergency medicine or critical care settings

• Strong knowledge of veterinary internal medicine, surgery, anesthesiology, and animal physiology

• Excellent client communication skills with a compassionate approach to pet owners’ concerns

• Experience in laboratory diagnostics and familiarity with emergency protocols is highly desirable
