Modern Animal is seeking a dedicated Relief Veterinarian in Texas to provide high standards of medical care for our patients. You will handle scheduled and next-day appointments, work with a supportive hospital team, and contribute to an exceptional client experience both in-clinic and virtually.

Qualifications

• Active Texas veterinary license at start of relief shifts.
• License in good standing with no malpractice or disciplinary actions.

• Paid training shift before scheduling relief shifts to onboard and learn our EMR system and clinic workflows.

Responsibilities

What Does a Relief Veterinarian Do

• Deliver the highest standard of medical care to all Modern Animal patients

Requirements Of a Relief Veterinarian

• Must have active license to practice veterinary medicine in Texas at the start of relief shifts with Modern Animal
• License must be in good standing with no malpractice or disciplinary actions
• Must hold personal DEA license
• Must maintain personal liability insurance
• A paid training shift is required before scheduling any relief shifts. This structured onboarding shift ensures that relief doctors are well‑prepared to navigate our EMR system and understand general clinic workflows for a successful start.

The pay range for this position is $1,000 - $1,300 per 10 hour shift; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign‑on bonus and equity grant units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This information is provided per the California Pay Transparency Act. Base pay information is based on geographic location.
