Job summary

East Greenbush Animal Hospital is seeking experienced relief veterinarians to support a growing caseload and help cover recurring or occasional shifts in a busy small animal practice just outside Albany, NY. We offer flexible scheduling, competitive daily or hourly compensation based on experience, and a supportive team with a strong doctor-to-staff ratio.

This is a 1099 independent contractor role with no long-term commitment, ideal for expanding your schedule while maintaining patient care

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or VMD from an accredited institution.
• Active New York veterinary license in good standing.
• 3+ years of clinical experience preferred.
• Comfortable with wellness, sick appointments, and routine medical cases.
• Surgery is welcomed but not required for relief shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide general veterinary care for wellness and illness in a fast-paced practice.
• Manage appointments independently while collaborating with the hospital team.
• Communicate effectively with clients and staff to ensure quality care.
• Support a diverse caseload including dogs, cats, rabbits, and exotic pets.

We're looking for confident, collaborative doctors who are interested in picking up recurring or occasional shifts in a busy, well-supported small animal practice just outside Albany, NY.

Requirements
