Qualifications

• Veterinary technician with emergency experience preferred.
• Ability to stay cool under pressure and adapt quickly.
• Desire to learn and grow skills.

• Willing to work day shifts, overnights, weekends or holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with emergency and critical care cases.
• Perform patient triage and ongoing assessments.
• Collect blood, urine, and other diagnostic samples.
• Place and maintain IV catheters.
• Manage and maintain CRIs.
• administer medications and IV fluids accurately.
• Monitor anesthesia and assist with emergency procedures.
• Perform venipuncture and laboratory testing.
• Obtain diagnostic radiographs.
• Monitor hospitalized and ICU patients.
• Calculate medication dosages and fluid rates.
• Accurately document treatments and patient care.
• Educate and communicate with pet owners during stressful situations.
• Prepare and maintain treatment areas and equipment.
• Support CPR efforts and other emergency life-saving procedures.
• Work collaboratively with doctors and teammates to provide exceptional patient care.
