The position is part-time with a daily rate of $200 and requires classroom supervision, adherence to district policies, and collaboration with school staff to deliver quality instruction and timely completion of duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and teaching certification preferred.
• Alternative: degree in Education or related fields with relevant experience.
• Experience promoting social, educational, or supportive services for school aged children.
• Completion of HCDE Substitute Orientation program.

Responsibilities

• Comply with state and federal laws, and department and campus policies.
• Maintain confidentiality of student and staff information.
• Maintain classroom discipline and a safe learning environment.
• Ensure health, welfare, and safety of students.
• Protect students, equipment, and facilities; report injuries or incidents.
• Implement lesson plans and manage academic time effectively.
• Meet and instruct assigned classes as scheduled.
• Assist in managing student behavior and crisis intervention.
• Conduct physical student searches when needed.
• Maintain classroom order and conducive learning environment.
• Organize students for effective instruction.
• Cooperate with school and department personnel; perform other duties.
