Job summary

Scottish Borders Council is seeking a Relief Relief Worker at Grove House, Kelso. The role is casual/relief with PVG Adults and SSSC registration required or supported by the council. Training is provided and the council offers great benefits.

The successful candidate will provide practical and emotional support, promote wellbeing and include service users in all aspects of daily life, with emphasis on safety and independence.

Qualifications

  • SVQ2 or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
  • PVG Adults – we will do this for you! SSSC registered.
  • Training: All training is provided.

  • Providing person-centred practical and emotional support to empower the people we care for, as outlined in individual support plans.
  • Promote the health and well-being of the people we support and ensure their needs are met in an inclusive way.
  • Support, enable and involve service users in all aspects of their lives, including personal care, eating, drinking, and mobility if necessary.
  • Be responsible for the safe administration of Service Users’ medication, following relevant training.
