Job summary

Maola Local Dairies is seeking a Relief Route Sales Driver for the Distribution Department. The role covers open shifts across branches (excluding Newport News), training new hires, and supporting Route Sales Drivers and Shipping/Receiving staff.

Starts early, Monday–Friday with long shifts, and may require federal holidays if needed. The position emphasizes on-the-job training, route familiarity, and dependable coverage, with a strong focus on customer service and safety in the dairy

Qualifications

• Possess a Class A or Class B CDL
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• High School Diploma, GED, or International Education Equivalent
• Customer Service or Sales Experience is a plus
• Direct Store Delivery experience is a plus
• Ability to read, write, add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure
• Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screen, and physical abilities test
• Must be organized, detailed oriented, and possess excellent communication and customer service skills.

Salary Range: $58,000

Work Schedule: This is a relief position, so the schedule is flexible and may vary based on business needs. Most Drivers work Monday - Friday with a 3:00 - 5:00 AM start and 10-11+ hour shifts, but as a Relief Driver, you'll cover different routes and shifts as needed.

Willingness to work additional days and federal holidays if needed.

SUMMARY

The Relief Route Sales Driver for the Distribution Department in all branches, except Newport News, is responsible for covering open positions/shifts within their assigned branch and training newly hired associates. Open positions may include Route Sales Drivers and/or Shipping and Receiving Associates who have scheduled or unscheduled time off and positions/shifts open due to resignation, termination and/or newly created positions.
