Job summary

Wallis Annenberg PetSpace in Playa Vista seeks a part-time Registered Veterinary Technician to support the Health Center. You will assist the medical team with intake exams, medications, anesthesia, and post-operative care for dogs, cats, and other small animals.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years as a veterinary technician, CA RVT license, and strong infection-control practices. Duties include lab work, vaccines, and customer-facing education, while maintaining strict records and safety

Qualifications

• 3–5 years experience as veterinary technician.
• Experience with anesthesia and dental cleanings.
• CA RVT license required.
• Strong infection control and recordkeeping.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform intake exams for dogs, cats, and small animals per PetSpace protocols.
• Prepare medications, anesthetic drugs, vaccines, and equipment.
• Sterilize surgical instruments and maintain sterile packs.
• Assist with pre/post-operative care and general medical care of animals.
• Maintain clean storage, exam, prep, and surgery rooms.
• Administer injections, vaccines, and treatments as directed.
• Draw samples and submit for testing.
