Job summary

Amrize North America Inc. is seeking a Relief Operator for Sparrows Point Cement Plant in MD to operate the grinding system, perform quality tests, and manage mill-related duties on shift.

Expect to load bulk trucks, use billing systems, and coordinate activities in the supervisor's absence while upholding health, safety, and environmental standards. A High School Diploma/GED is required; Associate's Degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Required Education: High School Diploma/GED or 2 years of equivalent experience.
• Additional Education Preferred: Associate's Degree.
• Required Computer and Software Skills: Must be able to use a computer and learn new software as required.
• Initiative to diagnose or correct mill operation issues without being asked.
• Knowledge of plant process, quality and production requirements.
• Adherence to safety protocols and proper use of PPE, including respirators.

Responsibilities

• Operate the grinding system and run quality tests.
• Operate heavy equipment and load bulk trucks.
• Use billing system and handle shift coverage tasks.
• Coordinate shift work in absence of a supervisor as needed.
• Promote and follow health, safety and environmental policies.
