Job summary

Maola Local Dairies is seeking a Relief Operator in High Point, NC to support the Milk Production Department across multiple lines. The 1st shift requires flexibility and the ability to work overtime, weekends and holidays.

You will operate the HTST system and filler equipment, cover breaks, and help with cooler, raw receiving, and loading/unloading case trailers while upholding safety and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED or international equivalent.
  • Previous manufacturing or food processing experience preferred.
  • Able to work overtime, weekends and holidays.
  • Understands all key roles within the production area and can perform across multiple positions.

Responsibilities

  • Operate the HTST system according to protocols and quality standards.
  • Monitor and operate filler equipment for consistent product flow and quality.
  • Provide relief coverage in various areas, including product line, cooler, raw receiving, and loading/unloading trailers.
  • Give break and lunch coverage for team members.
  • Follow safety and sanitation guidelines and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
  • Perform HTST and blending tasks as required.
  • Support plant operations with general relief duties.
  • Complete duties as assigned by supervisors or management.
  • Follow all safety protocols and report hazards to maintain a safe workplace.

SUMMARY

The Relief position provides flexible support across multiple roles in the Milk Production Department. This roles ensures continuous operation by filling in various positions as needed and covering breaks and lunches. The Relief team member must be adaptable, dependable, and committed to maintaining safety and sanitation standards at all teams.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate the Milk HTST (High Temperature Short Time) system according to established protocols and quality standards
  • Monitor and operate filler equipment to ensure consistent product flow, quality, and efficiency
  • Assist as a relief operator in various areas, including the product line, cooler, raw receiving, and loading/unloading of case trailers
  • Provide break and lunch coverage for team members as assigned
  • Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines, including the correct use of tools and equipment, reporting hazards, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment
  • Perform tasks related to HTST and blending operations as required
  • Take on general relief duties as needed to support plant operations
  • Complete other duties as assigned by supervisors or management
  • Consistently follow all company safety protocols, which include understanding workplace hazards, using appropriate tools, reporting unsafe conditions, and assisting others to maintain a safe environment
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or international equivalent.
  • Previous manufacturing or food processing experience preferred.
  • Understands all key roles within the production area and be able to perform duties across multiple positions.
  • Experience in dairy manufacturing preferred.
