Job summary

Ethos Veterinary Health seeks a Relief Emergency Veterinarian to join its San Antonio, TX team on a per diem basis. You will provide high-level emergency care, diagnose and treat urgent cases, and stabilize critically ill patients with evidence-based medicine.

You'll collaborate with a skilled team of veterinarians and technicians, communicate compassionately with pet owners, and contribute to a culture focused on mentorship and continuous learning across our network.

Qualifications

• Must hold a DVM or equivalent veterinary degree and be eligible for state licensure.
• Internship training or 2+ years in emergency veterinary practice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload of companion animals.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for urgent and emergent conditions.
• Perform emergency procedures and stabilize critically ill or injured patients using evidence-based medicine.
• Collaborate with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff to provide compassionate patient care.
• Communicate clearly with pet owners during stressful situations.

What You Bring

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state veterinary licensure.
• Internship trained or 2 full time years as an Emergency Veterinarian.
• Confidence managing emergency cases and making sound clinical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
