Thrive Pet Healthcare's PET’s Emergency Hospital in Greeley, CO is seeking a Relief Emergency Veterinary Technician to join our 24‑hour emergency and critical care team. The role offers schedule flexibility while delivering high‑level, hands‑on patient care in a brand‑new AAHA‑accredited facility.

You will work with state‑of‑the‑art equipment, a supportive team, and Thrive's comprehensive benefits package. Experience in emergency medicine and anesthesia monitoring is highly valued.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of emergency veterinary assistant experience.
• Experience with anesthesia monitoring and surgical assisting.
• Strong clinical observation and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during emergency exams, treatments, and procedures.
• Provide advanced nursing care and emergency first aid to critical patients.
• Support anesthesia, surgical assisting, and post-operative care as needed.
• Monitor anesthetic and hospitalized patients (ASA I–III; ASA IV–V preferred).
• Obtain and interpret BP, ECG, SpO2, and EtCO2 readings.
• Collect laboratory samples and perform in-house diagnostics.
• Operate digital radiography and advanced diagnostic equipment.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Accurately document patient histories and medical records.
• Maintain clean, sterile, and organized treatment and exam areas.
• Collaborate with doctors, technicians, and support teams during high-acuity cases.
