Join a leading pharmacy as a Community Delivery Driver, where you'll play a vital role in delivering medications to patients. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a full UK driving license, and a commitment to customer service. Enjoy a supportive work environment with generous benefits and opportunities for career growth.
Overview of the role
Are you friendly and organised with a passion for providing excellent customer service but looking to further your skills and career?
Here at Well, we aim to build the best prescription experience in the UK. Sounds ambitious, right? But that’s okay, because we’ve got a fantastic team of talented, creative and forward-thinking people, that are key in helping us get there.
Your main responsibilities as our Community Delivery Driver will include delivering medication to Well patients and customers from their Pharmacy. You’ll handle the collection of prescriptions from doctor’s surgeries when required, ensure completion of all legally required training, and manage daily paperwork and reporting to meet legal standards. Additionally, you will perform daily vehicle checks and input key metrics into Pharmacy systems.
As a Delivery Driver, you’ll need excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to build strong relationships with our pharmacy teams and local customers, many of whom are vulnerable members of the community. Our home delivery service is vital to their wellbeing. Working closely with the Delivery Team Manager and store teams, your local knowledge and passion for delivering excellent service will ensure that your cargo reaches the right patient at the right time.
It is essential to have a Full UK Driving Licence and the Right to Work in the UK. The ideal candidate will be capable of driving a Luton-style vehicle, possess good knowledge of the area, and be flexible to deliver prescriptions at varied times.
Please note that the successful candidate must complete an enhanced DBS check before employment, which includes both spent and unspent convictions, as well as relevant information held by local police. Employment is contingent upon satisfactory DBS clearance.
