Job summary

Eliot Community Human Services, Inc. in Stoughton, MA, is seeking a Relief Counselor to support adults with brain injuries in our residential programs. You will help clients build life skills and engage with the community through high-quality, client-centered programming.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living, maintaining safety, and connecting clients with community resources and medical appointments. Schedule: various shifts; rate $20/hour.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and one year experience working with adults with cognitive, behavioral or developmental issues
• Ability to drive program vehicle
• Must possess a valid Massachusetts driver’s license and maintain a personally owned vehicle

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with tasks of daily living to include personal care, meals and ambulation
• Ensure a safe living environment, providing interventions and assistance to maintain safety
• Support clients in integrating into their communities by utilizing community resources, encouraging memberships, and personal relationships
• Assist clients with medical and physical needs
• Help clients participate in activities, attend medical appointments, and maintain meaningful family and community connections
