Qualifications

• Must hold mate, pilot, or master credentials with a 300 gross tonnage endorsement.
• Must have proper route endorsements for inland or nearshore routes.
• Ability to multitask safely and efficiently.
• Strong communication skills with crew and office.

Responsibilities

• Assist the captain in safety of crew.
• Assist in voyage plans, navigation, and vessel operation.
• Assist in vessel inspections and certifications.
• Supervise and coordinate crew activities for operational success.
• Perform regular maintenance and safety checks on equipment and systems.
• Maintain vessel logs and prepare documents (port calls, provisions, purchase orders).
• Follow IMO Crew Rest Hours and safety policies.
