Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and procedures, proper handling of hazardous materials.
• Good physical health and ability to perform assigned tasks.
• Minimum of one year of previous work related experience.
• Criminal history review and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident status.

Responsibilities

• Opens the building.
• On Saturdays and school holidays, closes building and ensures doors/windows secured and lights off.
• Keeps building and premises neat and clean at all times.
• Displays the U.S. flag during school hours.
• Checks exit doors and panic bolts during occupancy hours.
• Cleans corridors after each school day and as needed.
• Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms and replenishes supplies.
• Cleans and sanitizes drinking fountains daily.
• Cleans cafeteria dining areas as assigned.
• Reports major repair needs to the supervisor.
• Shovels, plows, salts, and sweeps sidewalks and parking areas.
• Obeys fire/safety and environmental laws.
• Keeps grounds free from rubbish.
• Moves furniture as required by supervisors.
• Stores and disposes of trash and debris properly.
• Cleans windows inside and out.
• Keeps floors clean and well-preserved.
• Performs groundskeeping and maintains athletic fields as assigned.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
