Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking a reliable Janitorial Cleaner to perform a variety of cleaning duties and maintain a clean, safe environment across assigned facilities.

The role involves sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, restroom sanitation, waste management, and window cleaning, with strict adherence to safety protocols. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, and prior cleaning experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous janitorial/custodial experience is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing floors and surfaces.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, replenish supplies, and ensure hygiene standards are met.
• Empty trash and recycling bins and dispose of waste according to policy.
• Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces.
• Maintain and store cleaning equipment and supplies properly.
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages to the supervisor.
• Assist with setup and cleanup for meetings, events, or special projects as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures and company protocols related to cleaning and sanitation.
