Job summary

Sittercity is seeking a caregiver for a preschool-aged boy with developmental delays in Washington. The role requires a reliable, warm, and engaging caregiver who prioritizes play, reading, and routine activities over screens. Schedule includes weekday mornings with some weekend hours, and a long-term commitment is preferred.

State registration/onboarding is required. A personal vehicle is necessary for transportation to preschool pickup and return home.

Qualifications

• Must have toddler experience and preschool-age experience.
• Special needs experience strongly preferred.
• Sitter must have own car and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Driving the kids to activities and preschool.
• Prepare snacks and meals for the children.
• Light laundry for the household.
• Assist with toilet training as needed.

Pay: ~$23.50/hr through the state + state-accrued PTO.

State registration/onboarding required.

Occasional weekend hours may be available.

Schedule (main priority):

• Mondays: ~9 AM–2 PM
• Other weekdays: ~11 AM–2 PM
• No-school days/breaks: generally ~9 AM–2 PM

We need someone who can reliably commit long-term.

Preschool-aged boy with developmental delays.

Experience with additional needs strongly preferred.

Looking for someone warm, patient, fun, dependable, and actively engaged in play, reading, activities, and routines—not screens.

Reliable personal vehicle required.

Preschool pickup from Fife ELC and transportation home are part of the job.

Public transit isn’t workable.
