Job summary

Nestlé is seeking a Reliability Technician to support daily manufacturing operations by improving equipment reliability under the maintenance supervisor. This on-site role emphasizes data analysis, floor observations, and hands-on problem solving to boost safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency.

The 1st shift runs 6:00 AM–6:30 PM with a crew schedule, and the pay rate is $37.20/hr. The ideal candidate will have an Associate’s degree or higher in Industrial Maintenance or Engineering

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of reliability/industrial maintenance experience.
  • Experience with SAP or CMMS systems.
  • Knowledge of safety, food manufacturing requirements.
  • Level II training completed or in progress.
  • Ability to analyze equipment issues and identify root causes.

Responsibilities

  • Work safely in a manufacturing environment following PPE, LOTO, and Permit to Work requirements.
  • Follow factory management systems for safety, quality, and environmental management.
  • Promote safe work practices and support quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Execute predictive maintenance systems and support new technology initiatives.
  • Support preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with operators and technicians to identify chronic losses and improvement opportunities.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
  • Partner with production, quality, safety, and engineering teams to improve uptime.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Review equipment history in SAP/CMMS and monitor performance.
  • Provide daily technical support to manufacturing and maintenance teams.
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures and support rapid restoration.
  • Assist with spare parts accuracy, BOM updates, and maintenance documentation.

Position Summary

The Reliability Technician is responsible for supporting daily manufacturing operations by improving equipment reliability under the general direction of the maintenance supervisor. This on-site position helps build a proactive maintenance culture leveraging data analysis, floor observations, and technical problem solving to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost.

Shift: 1st Shift (6:00AM-6:30PM)

Schedule: Crew Shift

Pay Rate: $37.20/hr

Position Qualifications
Education
  • Associate’s Degree in Industrial Maintenance, Engineering Technology, or similar preferred
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education preferred
  • Must complete Level II training and pass skills evaluation
  • Candidate must complete Level II requirements by first evaluation period following first year in role
  • Completed Level II training and skill evaluation upon hire preferred
Experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in reliability maintenance, manufacturing or industrial maintenance, or similar technical role
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Ability to work safely in fast-paced manufacturing setting
  • Hands‑on knowledge of industrial equipment, troubleshooting, and maintenance practices
  • Familiarity with manufacturing equipment systems and operations
  • Understanding of safety, quality, and food manufacturing requirements
  • Ability to analyze equipment issues and identify root causes
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and utilize data setsKnowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance concepts
  • Experience using SAP or other CMMS systems
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Knowledge of LOTO and Confined Space standards
  • Ability to understand and follow Permit to Work standards
  • Strong PC and keyboarding skills
  • Ability to safely operate machine and hand tools
  • Change management experience preferred
  • Ability to work off-shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Follow factory rules, procedures, and practices.
  • Complete required training and development activities.
