Job summary

Daimler Truck North America is seeking a Reliability Engineering Intern to support data analysis across warranty, reliability, product and engineering domains. You will work with real-world datasets and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver insights that drive quality and profitability.

Gain hands-on experience analyzing data from multiple sources, developing summary reports and dashboards, and using analytics tools for forecasting and trend analysis.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program or recently graduated within 1 year of start date.
• Pursuing or holding a degree in Engineering, Science, Statistics, Economics, or Data Analytics.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Solid organizational skills and a creative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data from multiple sources (dealers, customers, technicians) to identify trends and root causes.
• Develop summary reports and dashboards to communicate findings and key issues.
• Use analytics tools for forecasting, trend analysis, and cost-driver identification (parts, labor).
• Evaluate cost exposure and reliability data to support risk assessment and portfolio optimization.
• Identify outliers in repair activity and help develop tools to detect opportunities or risks.
• Contribute to fostering an inclusive and welcoming workplace culture.

Interns will gain knowledge and experience through exciting and real-life learning opportunities. Interns must work in accordance with DTNA’s core values of passion, respect, integrity and discipline. Internship positions can be located at various DTNA locations across the US. We are looking for high performing and motivated individuals in various areas within DTNA organizations. DTNA internships begin each summer in May or June.

Interns in this role may have the opportunity to transition into a full-time position subject to manager evaluations and business availability.

The Fleet Services Group (FSG) at Daimler Truck North America develops and markets connected services and extended service coverage solutions. These offerings provide customers with digital services and protection against potential losses due to engine and truck breakdowns, enhancing overall customer experience.

The Reliability Engineering Intern will support the team in analyzing data, identifying trends, and contributing to initiatives that improve product quality, reliability, and profitability. This role offers hands‑on experience working with real‑world datasets across warranty, reliability, product, and engineering domains, while gaining exposure to the commercial trucking service market.

The intern will collaborate with cross‑functional teams and assist in delivering insights that support decision‑making and continuous improvement efforts.
