Job description

Responsibilities

Strategic Technology Consulting (STC), an Arcfield Company, is seeking a seasoned Reliability Engineer to drive design and ensure compliance with high reliability requirements for innovative Range Safety solutions for Major Range and Test Facility Bases (MRTFBs). This role requires engineering analysis and compliance traceability to determine the reliability of the Range Safety solutions and ensure compliance with reliability standards and regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Engineering Analysis: Perform engineering analysis supporting system design with respect to Reliability, Repairability, Maintainability, System Safety, and other sustainment disciplines to ensure the range safety solutions are sufficiently reliable per Range Commanders Council (RCC) requirements.
  • Requirements Development: Derive reliability needs into system, subsystem, and component requirements for the range safety solutions.
  • Design and Integration: Support efforts to architect, prototype, and implement Range Safety solutions emphasizing range safety solutions with high reliability per Range Commanders Council (RCC) requirements.
  • Testing and Validation: Support system integration, testing, and performance analysis to ensure reliability testing needs are considered as a key driver. Develop a reliability testing and analysis plan to ensure sufficient test time for statistical confidence in system reliability.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with government stakeholders, mission engineers, and subcontractors to ensure seamless integration and technical excellence.
Qualifications
  • BS 5-7, MS 3-5, PhD 0-2 (Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline (Master’s degree preferred)).
  • 5+ years of experience with reliability analysis and data gathering, including statistical approaches to extrapolating test data into reliability assessments and performing analysis of reliability and failure criticality to ensure compliance with range safety reliability requirements.
  • Familiarity with MRTFB range safety standards and regulations including Range Commanders Council (RCC) requirements.
  • Knowledgeable about MRTFB operations and flight test practices for intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs) and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing government and inter-team relationships.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills.
