Lockheed Martin is seeking a Staff Design-for-Reliability Engineer to ensure capital‑intensive assets are specified, procured, and commissioned with reliability built in from day one. You will influence capital spend, uptime, warranty exposure, and total cost of ownership at a major U.S.
facility. The role requires leading reliability studies, integrating MTBF data, and coordinating with Operations, Procurement, and Maintenance teams across capital projects.
Our Facilities organization is responsible for acquiring, installing, and maintaining the critical equipment that keeps production lines, test labs, and major campuses running 24×7. As a staff Design‑for‑Reliability Engineer, you will be the technical authority that guarantees every capital‑intensive asset is specified, procured, and commissioned with reliability and maintainability built‑in from day one. Your work will directly influence capital spend, equipment uptime, warranty exposure, and overall total cost of ownership.
