Job summary

John Crane, a global leader in mission-critical flow control, seeks a Reliability Engineer to support lifecycle projects across the region. You will consult with customers to identify reliability needs and collaborate with the contract manager, on-site teams, and local sales to drive value.

You will apply reliability methodologies (RCA, FMEA/FMECA, FTA), develop asset registers, manage ServiceMax and CMMS data, and prepare proposals addressing client reliability challenges.

Qualifications

  • Mechanical or Industrial Engineer degree required.
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience.
  • CMRP certification preferred.
  • Experience with reliability methodologies (RCM, RCA, FMEA/FMECA, FTA).

Responsibilities

  • Conducts Reliability Contracts feasibility studies and implementation.
  • Develop asset reliability vision, strategy, and roadmap for wet sealed equipment.
  • Coordinate with key internal stakeholders to setup infrastructure for a seal reliability program.
  • Provide data management support i.e. ServiceMax records, CMMS data.
  • Develop proposals to address client reliability challenges.

Job Description

The Reliability Engineer is part of the Service Delivery Office (SDO) and responsible for providing technical support to the organisation in the life cycle (Initiation, Planning, Executing, Monitoring, and Closing) of John Crane’s reliability projects across the region.

The Engineer will consult with the customer to identify needs to improve reliability performance and work alongside the business development team to develop aligned value propositions. The Engineer will manage the execution of each project, working alongside the Contract Manager, on-site teams and local sales teams.

Responsibilities include but no limited to the following:

  • Conducts Reliability Contracts feasibility studies and Implementation
  • Develop, or facilitate, the implementation of the asset reliability vision, strategy, and roadmap for wet sealed equipment
  • Develop procedures that help achieve the desired reliability standards
  • Provide expert technical guidance to CREs in the application of reliability methodologies, including Reliability Analysis: Performing root cause analysis (RCA), failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA/FMECA), fault tree analysis (FTA).
  • Development of asset register and install base (all mechanical sealed equipment and other JC products)
  • Co-ordinate with key internal stakeholders to setup up the infrastructure for a seal reliability program
  • Provide data management support i.e. ServiceMax records, utilizing customer CMMS and records data.
  • Engaging and Influencing key stakeholders from client leadership teams to technicians
  • Develop proposals to address client reliability challenges, including method of work statements.
Qualifications
  • Mechanical or Industrial Engineer required.
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience.
  • Recognised engineering qualification or equivalent experience primarily working with rotating equipment and CMRP is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in the following: Application of Reliability methodologies including prioritization, RCM, FMEA/FMECA, RCA, reliability statistical analysis; Maintenance Management practices and systems, in asset intensive and high hazard industry sectors; and Maintenance Management Systems languages: English (other languages beneficial)
  • Preferred knowledge in the following: Inventory Optimisation, Condition Based Maintenance; and ISO 14224 and ISO 55000 series
  • Effective communication skills both verbal and written
  • Experience working in a diverse environment with a global company is a plus.
