Job summary

Gilder Search Group is seeking a Reliability Engineer in Kalamazoo, MI to improve the performance, availability, and long-term reliability of manufacturing equipment. You will work with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to drive plant-wide improvements.

The role requires experience in preventive/predictive maintenance, root-cause analysis, and data-driven reliability programs. Proficiency with Excel and CMMS (Maximo preferred) is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with preventive/predictive maintenance, root-cause analysis, and troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical, organizational, project-management, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Excel and maintenance-management systems; Maximo experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze equipment performance and lead improvements involving production equipment, utilities, facilities, controls, and supporting systems.
• Evaluate and improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs using equipment history, failure trends, and asset data.
• Lead root-cause analysis for recurring failures and support repair, redesign, replacement, and spare-parts decisions.
• Manage internal and third-party equipment upgrades while partnering with maintenance, engineering, and production teams.
