Job summary

Calumet is seeking a Maintenance/Reliability Engineer to lead the plant's preventative maintenance program and drive equipment life optimization. The role collaborates with operations to schedule downtime, manage outages, and execute capital projects while ensuring safety and environmental compliance.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in manufacturing maintenance, expertise in reliability tools, and strong communication skills to coordinate across maintenance, operations, and vendors.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in manufacturing plant reliability and maintenance.
• Willingness to work off-hours including nights/weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Champion reliability efforts in assigned areas and provide technical assistance for equipment design, operation, and maintenance issues.
• Coordinate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) processes and track recommendations through resolution.
• Design and manage predictive & preventive maintenance systems and guide others in their use.
• Utilize reliability tools to evaluate failures, costs, and risks to prioritize issues.
• Plan and manage plant outages, capital projects, and vendor resources to keep work within budget.
• Oversee installation, maintenance, and repair to ensure equipment meets specifications.
• Assist in spare parts reviews and in developing procedures for safe operation.
• Schedule inspections and coordinate with operations to minimize downtime.
