Job summary

Linde is seeking a Reliability Engineer to join our North Region team in Michigan. You will collaborate with reliability and operations teams to address long-term asset concerns and drive lifecycle improvements.

The role emphasizes RCA leadership, data-driven decision making, and cross-functional project execution to optimize asset performance. Ideal candidates bring a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 5+ years in industrial maintenance/reliability, with strong knowledge of mechanical systems

Qualifications

• You have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering and minimum five years of experience in maintenance or reliability engineering within an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Proven expertise in maintenance and engineering of mechanical equipment such as compressors, heat exchangers, pumps, chillers, cooling towers, piping, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• You can interpret Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams and machinery drawings.
• Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance methodologies and technologies.
• You have experience in engineering, specification, and design of mechanical systems and projects.
• Strong communication, presentation, and team collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility as one of two Reliability Engineers managing Air Separation, CO2, and Hydrogen facilities in the North Region.
• Lead Root Cause Analysis processes for major failures to prevent recurrence.
• Assist in engineering, design, specification, and execution of projects to optimize reliability and operability.
• Review and update Standard Maintenance Procedures and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Develop and support Reliability Assessments for facilities and equipment.
• Utilize Six Sigma and other continuous improvement methodologies to enhance reliability.
• Lead reliability programs and initiatives to improve asset performance.
• Assist with critical spare parts identification and Bill of Materials creation for key assets.
• Balance office and field work with urgency, integrity, and collaboration.
