About This Role:

Textron Systems is seeking engineers of all disciplines to support the United States Marine Corps Advanced Reconnaissance Vehicle (ARV) program. For this program, Textron Systems has developed the Cottonmouth® ARV, a recon vehicle to be feared and a force-multiplier armed to the fangs with advanced full-spectrum reconnaissance and surveillance sensors. It’s expertly designed to defeat threats beyond line of sight and comes complete with cutting‑edge technologies that will keep adversaries up at night. Cottonmouth was developed using a Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) that is Ground Vehicle Operating System (GVOS) based employing the Tactical Assault Kit Extended (TAK‑X) framework for easy capability integration. This modern vehicle platform has superior mobility capabilities to tackle treacherous off‑road terrain and waterways while keeping Marines safe thanks to its advanced survivability suite and Human System Interface (HSI) focus. Amphibious mobility, unrivaled versatility, and electronic warfare capabilities define a vehicle that is adaptable, stealthy and thrives wherever enemies hide.

  • Leading Reliability and Logistics Engineering efforts related to one or more programs
  • Planning, managing, executing Specialty Engineering tasking across design, production, and sustainment life cycle phases
  • Reliability and Maintainability Allocations and Predictions
  • Reliability Modeling and Simulation
  • Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA)
  • Failure Reporting Analysis and Corrective Action Systems (FRACAS) activity
  • Fielded system monitoring and reliability measurement
  • Fault Tree Analysis
  • Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM)
  • Spares Predictions and Level of Repair Analysis (LORA)
  • Maintenance Task Analysis
  • Life Cycle Cost Analysis
  • Establishing good working relationships with internal and external customers
  • Other Specialty Engineering analysis as required
Qualifications
  • Proven ability to communicate with all levels of the internal and customer organizations
  • Experience with Technical report writing and presentations
  • Experience with Reliability and Logistics metrics, calculations, and statistics
  • Experience with DOORS, JIRA, MagicDraw (or equivalent) or Model-Based Systems Engineering are plusses
  • Experience with Windchill Risk and Reliability, Reliability Workbench, Slicwave, Eagle, Powerlog, Compass or Opus logistics software tools are pluses
  • Current or ability to obtain a Secret clearance
Education & Experience Levels
  • Experience levels will be determined by a hiring team. We are looking for candidates with a bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in systems engineering, test engineering, or a related engineering field. Experience recommendations below. In compliance with the local pay transparency law, the pay range for this position is:
  • o Level I Engineer: typically, 0 – 1 year of experience
  • $77,100.00 - $115,900.00 per year
  • o Level II Engineer: typically, 2 years of experience
  • $85,900.00 - $129,700.00 per year
  • o Level III Engineer: typically, 5 years of experience
  • $107,500.00 - $163,500.00 per year
  • o Level IV Engineer: typically, 9 years of experience
  • $136,400.00 - $209,000.00 per year
