Role Description

We are looking for a hands‑on individual to help us develop our core technology by contributing to our Equipment Maintenance Team. In this role, individuals will work directly with our Operations team, to design, troubleshoot, and repair our production equipment. The successful applicant will be comfortable with hands‑on work as well as detailed mechanical design. Relocation assistance is available.

What you'll do:
  • Develop and execute reliability strategies that improve equipment uptime, reduce failures, and optimize asset performance across manufacturing operations.

  • Lead root cause analysis investigations and implement corrective actions to eliminate recurring mechanical equipment failures.

  • Design and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance strategies using equipment history, failure data, and reliability best practices.

  • Partner with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to troubleshoot complex equipment issues and drive sustainable improvements.

  • Support equipment modifications, installations, and improvement projects to enhance safety, maintainability, and long‑term reliability.

  • Analyze equipment performance metrics and develop solutions that improve productivity, reduce downtime, and extend asset life.

What you'll bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Reliability Engineering, or a related technical field with experience supporting industrial equipment.

  • Experience applying reliability engineering principles, including root cause analysis, preventive maintenance optimization, and failure elimination.

  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills with experience supporting manufacturing equipment such as rotating equipment, conveyors, pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, or similar systems.

  • Ability to analyze equipment performance data, identify reliability opportunities, and implement solutions that improve uptime and reduce downtime.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across maintenance, operations, engineering, and leadership teams.

  • Self‑driven problem solver with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Where you'll work:

This role is based at Form Factory 1 in Weirton, WV—an easy commute from the city of Pittsburgh, PA. This 550,000-square‑foot facility is our hub for high‑volume battery production and a leader in the new era of American energy manufacturing. Relocation assistance is available.

We also offer at least 12 weeks of paid leave for new parents (up to 20 weeks for birthing parents), and generous vacation policies to give employees time to recharge when needed.
