Job description

Maintenance Reliability Engineer

Location: Exeter, Pennsylvania

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Reliability Engineer to join a global manufacturing organization and play a key role in improving equipment reliability and long-term plant performance.

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys being close to the operation, solving difficult equipment problems, and building stronger maintenance and reliability processes. The facility is working through a significant operational improvement effort, giving this person the opportunity to make an immediate and visible impact.

What You’ll Do
  • Analyze equipment and maintenance data to identify recurring failures and reliability improvement opportunities
  • Lead Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented
  • Provide hands-on troubleshooting support for chronic, urgent, and high-risk equipment issues
  • Develop and optimize preventive, predictive, lubrication, and condition-based maintenance strategies
  • Lead FMECA activities for critical equipment
  • Improve maintenance procedures and technical documentation
  • Support critical spare-parts identification, stocking strategies, and component reliability
  • Evaluate equipment condition, lifecycle risk, and replacement needs
  • Develop long-term asset plans and provide reliability input into capital investment decisions
  • Support capital projects from concept through commissioning to ensure new equipment is reliable and maintainable
  • Work closely with maintenance, operations, engineering, and other plant teams to improve overall equipment performance
What We’re Looking For

The strongest candidates will bring significant hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting experience in a heavy industrial environment. Practical experience working with large equipment is more important than having followed a traditional engineering career path.

Ideal backgrounds may include:
  • Steel or metals manufacturing
  • Mining or aggregates
  • Cement
  • Pulp & paper
  • Chemical manufacturing
  • Foundries
  • Other heavy industrial or equipment-intensive manufacturing environments
  • Military/Navy nuclear maintenance backgrounds

Experience with RCFA, FMECA, predictive maintenance, reliability tools, spare-parts management, SAP PM, or another CMMS/EAM system is highly valuable.

A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred; however, candidates with substantial relevant maintenance and reliability experience will also be considered.

What Makes This Opportunity Different

This is not a position where you’ll simply inherit a mature reliability program and maintain the status quo. You’ll have the opportunity to help establish stronger maintenance strategies, improve documentation and troubleshooting practices, and influence how the facility manages its equipment for the long term.

The company is a global leader in steel wire transformation and coatings with more than 19,000 employees, operations representing 75 nationalities, over 90% employee retention, and €3.7 billion in 2025 combined revenue.

Benefits
  • medical, dental and vision coverage
  • HSA/FSA options
  • a 401(k) with company match
  • tuition and certification reimbursement
  • paid short- and long-term disability
  • paid holidays and sick time
  • additional employee programs

If you’re a hands-on reliability or maintenance professional who enjoys solving difficult equipment problems and wants the opportunity to help build a stronger operation, we’d like to hear from you.
