Job summary

AMD is seeking a Rack Level Reliability engineer to join our team. You will lead bring-up of servers/racks, perform debugging, baseline tests, and drive reliability programs for high-performance computing and AI applications.

You''ll develop scripts, coordinate chamber testing, instrument servers, validate environmental profiles, and report results. Strong communication across hardware, software, and design teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Fundamental knowledge of Computer Architecture, Server architecture, switch/network interfaces, and Hardware/Firmware/OS interactions.
• Programming experience with Python or Unix (Bash and/or PowerShell).
• Understanding of statistical & probability techniques and reliability modeling.
• Proven ability to communicate, collaborate, and lead effectively across diverse teams.
• Working knowledge of PCBA (printed circuit board assembly) design, fabrication, and validation testing.
• Experience using tools such as ReliaSoft & JMP statistical software packages.
• Knowledge of liquid cooling and systems.

• Collaborate with other development teams and stakeholders to ensure products meet customer expectations.

THE ROLE:

Join our passionate Rack Level Reliability team and play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality of AMD products for our customers. You'll work with your technical leads/teams, evaluate product risks, design and execute reliability testing, and tackle challenging tasks related to state-of-art servers/racks for high performance computing and AI applications.

THE PERSON:

We're looking for a highly motivated and collaborative individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You should have a good understanding of computer systems and hardware, accelerated reliability testing, coupled with a passion for reliability engineering principles. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential, as you'll be working closely with various teams to achieve common goals.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science/Engineering) preferred.
