Job summary

A chemical manufacturing company in Florida is seeking a Reliability Engineer to enhance equipment uptime and reliability. Key responsibilities include improving preventive maintenance programs, conducting root cause analysis, and liaising between maintenance and engineering. Candidates must hold a degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering and have experience in fertilizer manufacturing. This full-time role is based on-site and aims to boost operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Experience in fertilizer manufacturing and granulation processes.
  • Knowledge of surface mining and failure analysis.
  • Experience with piping, pressure vessel evaluations and failure analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Liaison between Maintenance and Project Engineering.
  • Monitor predictive maintenance programs and validate PM effectiveness.
  • Perform criticality analysis and define critical spares.
  • Assist in deploying the PDM condition based monitoring system.
  • Assist Maintenance Supervisors and Planners with technical maintenance issues.
  • Establish maintenance best practices.
  • Perform RCA/RCFA on contributors of yield, utilization, and capacity losses.
  • Identify and resolve chronic failures.
  • Establishes and monitors predictive maintenance program.
  • Calculates asset life-cycle and costs.
  • Conducts asset risk/health analysis.
  • Provides support to site’s Business Interruption/Loss Prevention programs.

Reliability Engineer (Full-Time, On Site)

Summary

The Spear Group has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Reliability Engineer to support their client company's chemical manufacturing operations (fertilizers). This position is on site at their Florida location and focuses on increasing equipment uptime, reliability, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaison between Maintenance and Project Engineering.
  • Preventive Maintenance (PM) effectiveness validation.
  • Monitor predictive maintenance programs.
  • Assist in deploying the PDM condition based monitoring system.
  • Assist Maintenance Supervisors and Planners with technical maintenance issues.
  • Establishes maintenance best practices.

Compensation based on relevant experience.
