Job summary

Andromeda Systems Incorporated (ASI) seeks an experienced Reliability Engineer to lead R&M efforts for NAVAIR and commercial customers in Lexington Park, MD. The role involves reviewing program plans, performing R&M analyses, and supporting board meetings. Candidates should have a 4+ year track record in R&M engineering and strong communication skills.

Travel is limited (<25%), and ASI offers competitive pay, benefits, and security clearances where applicable. This position requires U.S. citizenship and ability to work in government spaces.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, mathematics, aeronautics or electronics.

ASI is seeking an experienced Reliability Engineer to work in Lexington Park, Maryland. The candidate will manage and participate in various Reliability and Maintainability engineering efforts for our NAVAIR and commercial customers.

Responsibilities
  • Review Reliability & Maintainability (R&M) Program Plans and requirements for aircraft
  • Evaluate and perform R&M analyses, predictions, allocations, and calculate R&M metrics
  • Attend and support Reliability Control Board (RCB) and Failure Review Board (FRB) meetings
  • Determine key R&M metrics, identify problem areas, and assist in reviewing Engineering Change Proposals for R&M considerations
  • Support reliability development growth testing (reliability qualification tests, HALT, and reliability growth testing)
  • Support IHMS/BIT design/development and integration process
  • Assist with developing IHMS/BIT integration and M-demo test plans
  • Collect R&M data from and populate FRACAS databases
  • Generate various reports outlining findings and recommendations
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, mathematics, aeronautics, or electronics
  • 4+ years of experience as an R&M Engineer or relevant R&M experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365 applications to include Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to travel on a limited basis (< 25%)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge in areas such as R&M modeling, risk/criticality assessment, FMEA, RCA, FRACAS, Life Cycle Cost Analysis, and other statistical methods
  • Knowledgeable in IVHMS/BIT and Reliability Development Growth Testing
  • Understanding of early acquisition cycle (Milestone B through Milestone C)
