Job summary

Lonza in Houston, TX is seeking a Reliability Engineer to join our site-based team. The role focuses on maintaining equipment performance, reducing downtime, and complying with GMP and safety standards.

You will analyze data, perform RCA, develop maintenance strategies, and collaborate with maintenance and operations to protect patient safety and product quality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, or related field.
  • 3–5 years in reliability engineering or manufacturing environments.
  • Familiar with GMP/cGMP and reliability tools like FMEA, RCA, RCM, or TPM.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving; good communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze equipment performance to identify failure trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and apply tools such as FMEA and RCM.
  • Develop and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
  • Partner with maintenance and operations teams to improve equipment uptime.
  • Track and report key reliability metrics such as MTBF and MTTR.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, FDA, and safety standards.
